Aquos™ Growing Medium - Aquos™ is a homogeneous horticultural
foam material, which is designed to give the grower a consistent
and cohesive growing medium. The Growing Medium is completely
sterile, has neutral PH and exhibits uniform hydrology. Aquos™
decreases the variables that a grower has to contend with in the
propagation and germination process.
Aquos™ can be fabricated economically to fit a wide variety of
tray sizes. The foam inserts never crumble. The plant and
enhanced root mass will come out of the tray together leaving no
residue. This allows for easy grading, keeping every cell in
every tray utilized. The plugs are also ideal for manual or
mechanical transplanting.
The highly porous foam maintains a 60/40 air to water ratio,
directs over 90% of all water and nutrients to the plant and
retains hydration. Aquos™ can be fabricated for exact placement
of plant material or seeds. The foam can have a hole punched at
a designated depth or the star cut can be made narrow or wide.
Inserts can be split so that the grower can open the Aquos™
inserts and place the plant material at a desired depth. Plants
with long root systems are quickly planted into the slit
inserts. This enables growers to achieve high yields with
difficult plants.
